South Derbyshire CVS and Ticknall Lunch Club
Ticknall looks like a rural idyll on the surface, but isolation of its older residents is a real and hidden problem.
South Derbyshire CVS has supported local volunteers to set up and run a lunch club which caters for around 50 people each week, by providing funding help, advice on their legal obligations and signposting training. Thanks to this, 50 pensioners now have a vital lifeline.
